One True Loves book review

But one might say, "You don't want to travel, and you don't want to go out and be adventurous." And another might say, "Oh, I kind of want just to chill and be with you." Keep reading to find out what book I'm reviewing today.

Hey, my name is Kyla Denanyoh. Today, we're talking about the book One True Love. Taylor Jenkins Reid wrote this book. The genre of the book is fiction. The theme of the book is romance.

So, for this book, first of all, the title makes you go, hmm, right? One True Loves. You're supposed to have one true love. You're not supposed to have multiple true loves. How can you have multiple true loves? Let me explain.

So you have Emma, Jesse, and Sam. And really cute, you're like, oh my God, Emma falls in love, she gets married, oh, it's beautiful, wonderful, fantastic. And then she falls in love with Sam. You're like, wow, okay, so I don't know if you can be in love with two people simultaneously. Oh, Emma, what a life, how incredible.

But when Emma's trying to decide what she wants to do, her sister says she doesn't have to decide who she wants to love; she has to decide who she wants to be.

Now listen. We are different people in different relationships. Yes, the core of you should be the same. But one might say, "You don't want to travel, and you don't want to go out and be adventurous." Another person might say, "Oh, I just want to chill and be with you."

Someone told me when I had my daughter, they were like, no kids have the same parents. And that is similar to her sister saying you have to decide who you want to be. I only have one child. My daughter gets this parent. When and if I have another kid, that kid will never know me as a brand-new parent. They're always going to see that they were sibling.

It's a weird analogy, but I was thinking about that as I was reading this book because different parts of her were pulled out when she was in love with different people and when she was in relationships with different people. That was a huge theme, and I'm so glad that so many people are enjoying this book because I hope they're also saying that it's a big deal and that different people can pull out different things in you, and it doesn't have to be negative. It doesn't have to be bad. It's just that different people spark and inspire different things in you.

So, would I reread this book? I would say no. I wouldn't. I would not. No, I wouldn't. It was great to read, just because I will be thinking about Emma, Sam, and Jesse for a long time. I would not reread it, but I did enjoy reading it.

Until the next book review, Kyla
